Caroline Anfield

Therapeutic Play Practitioner and Counsellor

Caroline is a person-centred counsellor with over 20 years’ experience working with early years and primary-aged children. Before completing her counselling training, she worked as an EYFS practitioner, a childminder, and a play worker in primary schools, supporting children’s learning, development, and wellbeing. Caroline holds a first-class honours degree in Counselling as well as a Teaching Assistant qualification, bringing a wealth of experience in helping children feel safe, valued, and understood.

Her approach to play therapy is rooted in empathy, patience, and creativity, with a strong belief that every child deserves a space where their voice can be heard. She uses play and creative therapy techniques to help children explore and express their emotions in a way that feels natural and safe for them.

Outside of work, Caroline enjoys crafting and creative activities, as well as spending time in nature — passions that often inspire her therapeutic practice.
