
Gemma Midgley
Therapeutic Play Practitioner and Counsellor
Gemma is a qualified and experienced counsellor, trained in person-centred counselling, person-centred therapeutic play, CBT, and creative therapies. She is currently completing an MSc in Contemporary Creative Approaches to Counselling and Psychotherapy, further developing her skills and knowledge.
Her professional experience spans working with children and young people in schools, residential homes. Gemma has particular expertise in working with individuals who identify as, or may have a diagnosis of, neurodivergence, tailoring her approach to meet their unique needs.
Her specialisms include blending creative and therapeutic approaches to make counselling accessible, engaging, and empowering. Gemma values creating a safe, supportive environment where children and adults feel encouraged to explore their emotions and experiences, heal, and grow.
Outside of work, Gemma enjoys Reformer Pilates and spending time outdoors walking her labradoodle, Skye, who brings joy and balance to her life.
