Therapeutic Play Practitioner and Counsellor
Mel is a qualified counsellor with a degree in Therapeutic Counselling and extensive experience supporting children and young people in both school and community settings. She has worked closely with pupils facing emotional, behavioural, and social challenges, helping them build resilience and confidence through tailored, compassionate support.
Her specialisms include child-centred therapy, trauma-informed care, and anxiety management. Mel brings a calm, empathetic presence to her work, creating a safe and trusting environment where clients feel heard and understood. She believes in collaborative, integrative approaches, respecting each person’s unique journey while tailoring support to individual needs. Her practice is rooted in kindness, authenticity, and empowerment.
Outside of counselling, Mel enjoys creative writing, long walks in nature, and spending quality time with her children. She brings warmth, creativity, and dedication to everything she does, both professionally and personally.
